Join us for Learn to Knit with Gina Taylor.
A skein of yarn and a pair of needles is all you need to knit an array of wearables. In this class for beginners you’ll learn to cast on and off, knit and purl — the basic skills of knitting. Learn how to choose yarns and needles and read a knitting pattern. Take home a swatch that you can use as a mug rug.
There will be a $20 supply fee payable to the instructor for a kit of yarn and knitting needles US size 7. Students will be able to take the kit home.
What to bring:
MAP Downtown Art Center - Parking in building, Chinatown Gateway Garage, enter on Bethel Street. Weekday rate: $3.00 for two hours, $1.50 for additional 30 minutes. Weekend rate: $.50 for 30 minutes, maximum fee of $3.00.
