Come to our Pop-up Sale, Saturday September 30!
See and buy handwoven scarves, shawls, towels, rugs, placemats and other items produced by members of the Hawaiʻi Handweavers’ Hui.
Try your hand at weaving cloth and spinning threads, too!
A portion of the proceeds from the sale will benefit Kahilu Theatre.
This event takes place in conjunction with our SURROUNDED by WATER exhibition on view through October 30
We live surrounded by water. How does this affect individuals and communities in our islands, on other islands, or even the world at large? How does water inspire us?
SURROUNDED by WATER is an international exhibition juried by Stacie Robinson, a Research Ecologist with NOAA’s Hawaiian Monk Seal Research Program. This year’s exhibition was first presented at Downtown Art Center in Honolulu. Award-winning artworks, as well as those created on Hawaiʻi Island, are now exhibited at the Kahilu Theatre in Waimea.
