In line with our mission to encourage and promote excellence in handweaving, Hawaiʻi Handweavers’ Hui sponsors an annual New Weaver Scholarship in the amount of $500 for someone who has learned to weave in the previous two years. We solicit applications from weavers throughout our state who can demonstrate their commitment to learning to weave, and who will continue their learning through classes offered in various workshops and schools, including (but not limited to) the University Laboratory School and the Hui’s own studio at the Downtown Art Center in Honolulu.

Weaving in image is by Jordan Paguirigan, 2025 New Weaver Scholarship recipient.

2026 Mother's Day Ceramics, Textiles & Glass Fair

This will be HHH's 4th time at Washington Intermediate to participate with the Glass Fusion Collective and Oahu Potter's Association in a sale/demo.

We look at this event as an opportunity to get the word out about HHH and GFC classes so we are looking for volunteers to demonstrate, sell pieces, help with sales, as well as make & take on rigid heddle looms, spinning, inkle looms, potholder looms, marudai etc. We also need help with set-up (7-9 am) and break-down (1-2 pm). Or just come and hang out and talk to people.

If you wish to sell items, HHH takes 20%. You can contact Sidney for the inventory sheet, to volunteer or sell, or more information.

    Mahalo All!

Mark your calendar, gather your friends, and join us for a day of creativity, community, and craftsmanship. Every purchase supports local artists and their passion for handmade items.

Surprise someone with a one-of-a-kind piece they'll cherish forever!
